La Liga Fixtures: FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid Kickoff, Team News and TV
An empty football stadium at dusk, with blue and red seating around the pitch.
Pre-match update: Sunday, October 25, 2026. FC Barcelona host Real Madrid in the first Clásico of the 2026/27 La Liga season. The Matchday 10 fixture remains scheduled for Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona. Official schedule pages show different clock displays, so the local kickoff and its UTC equivalent are stated separately below. Team availability has also changed since the original preview: Barcelona have confirmed several absences, and Real Madrid have published their matchday squad. The score is still pending before kickoff.
FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid: date, kickoff and venue
The match is set for Sunday, October 25, at Spotify Camp Nou, with FC Barcelona listed as the home team. LALIGA's English-language Matchday 10 results page displays 20:00; the Spanish-language schedule displays 21:00. Barcelona's ticket schedule explicitly says its times are in peninsular Spain time and lists this game at 21:00. The club's matchday viewing guide also calls it a 9 p.m. CET start in Barcelona. Taken together, the venue-local kickoff is 9:00 p.m. in Barcelona, Central European Time (CET, UTC+01:00), equivalent to 8:00 p.m. UTC on October 25.
The date matters for the time-zone label. Spain's official calendar says summer time ends on Sunday, October 25, 2026. On mainland Spain, clocks move back from 3 a.m. to 2 a.m.; by the evening kickoff, Barcelona is on CET (UTC+01:00), not CEST (UTC+02:00). The match is therefore still on Sunday in Barcelona and UTC, even though some viewers in later time zones will see it on Monday. Use the UTC time or a time-zone-aware calendar entry to avoid applying the earlier summer offset.

Confirmed Barcelona team news
Dani Olmo, Eric García and Jules Koundé
Hansi Flick confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Dani Olmo and Jules Koundé would miss the Clásico. Barcelona reported on October 21 that tests found a left adductor muscle injury for Olmo after a collision against Paris Saint-Germain and estimated that he would be out for about a month. That club estimate is not a guaranteed return date.
Eric García is also unavailable. Barcelona's October 18 medical update described a right-thigh injury and estimated a recovery period of three to four weeks. The club's pre-match preview subsequently said Eric and Olmo would miss the game through injury. For Koundé, Barcelona reported a left ankle sprain and later said Flick would not take a risk; the club's final training report on Saturday listed Koundé as the exception among the available first-team players who trained. The reports reviewed do not provide a firm return date for Koundé.
These are availability updates, not a predicted formation. Training attendance does not by itself confirm a starting role, and the official lineup should be checked when the clubs release it before kickoff.
Confirmed Real Madrid team news
Matchday squad and suspension
Real Madrid published a 23-player squad on Saturday, October 24. Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé are among the players named. The announcement confirms their inclusion in the matchday group, not that either will start. Vinícius Júnior is absent from the published squad. Barcelona's official pre-match preview identifies him as suspended for this match after his red card against Villarreal; the squad list is consistent with that unavailability.
Real Madrid's final training report on October 24 said Rodrygo continued his recovery process. He does not appear in the published Clásico squad, and the report gives no return date. The club's squad announcement does not explain every omission, so no additional injury or suspension label is inferred here. No starting eleven is included in the squad announcement.
Where to watch the match
FC Barcelona's international viewing guide lists rights holders by territory and cautions that a listed rights holder may not televise every individual game, so viewers should confirm local listings. For Spain, the guide names Movistar and DAZN. For the United Kingdom and Ireland, it lists Premier Sports and Disney+. For the United States and Puerto Rico, it lists ESPN. The guide gives different local start times for each market; the venue kickoff remains 9 p.m. CET in Barcelona.
Viewers outside those markets should consult the official guide for their country rather than assume that a service shown elsewhere will carry the game. Broadcast rights and channel schedules can change, while the stadium's scheduled kickoff is the same moment worldwide.
Lineups and result: what is confirmed now
Before kickoff, LALIGA's Matchday 10 page still lists FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid as a scheduled fixture rather than displaying a final score. This update therefore does not report a result. The official match page and the clubs' channels are the places to check for the confirmed starting lineups, late availability changes, live match events and final score after play begins. A matchday squad should not be treated as the starting XI.
For this pre-match guide, the confirmed points are the date, venue, kickoff, referee, Barcelona's reported absences and Real Madrid's published squad. The correct venue time is Sunday, October 25, at 9 p.m. CET (UTC+01:00), or 8 p.m. UTC. Barcelona's official sources list Eric García, Dani Olmo and Jules Koundé as unavailable, while Real Madrid's squad announcement omits Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo. Any further changes and the match result remain subject to the official updates posted closer to and after kickoff.
