Updated October 27, 2026. The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 10-1, in World Series Game 3 on Monday, October 26, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Milwaukee took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, moving within one win of its first World Series title. The decisive stretch was an eight-run fifth inning, while Brewers starter Robert Gasser kept Tampa Bay off the board for six innings.
The final was Brewers 10, Rays 1. The win followed Milwaukee’s one-run victories in Games 1 and 2, and gave the Brewers three straight wins to open the Fall Classic. Tampa Bay now had to win Game 4 to extend the series. A 3-0 deficit is a steep position in a best-of-seven, but it does not end the series: the next game remains an opportunity to keep playing, and no champion is decided until a team wins four games.
MLB’s official postseason schedule lists the Game 3 result as MIL 10, TB 1 and the series score as 3-0. The official Gameday page is the most direct place to check the final line score and box score. For a fuller account of why the game broke open, MLB’s written recap and its separate key-takeaways report provide more inning context.
Game 3 was scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in St. Petersburg. The venue was Tropicana Field, the Rays’ home ballpark. On that date, the city was observing Eastern Daylight Time, EDT (UTC-04:00), so the scheduled first pitch was 00:00 UTC on Tuesday, October 27. The date change applies only when expressing the same moment in UTC; the game itself was played Monday night in Florida. U.S. daylight saving time remained in effect until November 1, 2026, according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Milwaukee’s left-hander Robert Gasser started against Tampa Bay right-hander Freddy Peralta. MLB’s pregame lineup and pitching page identified that matchup, and the postgame reports confirmed both pitchers’ roles. Gasser delivered the night’s defining pitching performance: six scoreless innings, one hit, one walk and three strikeouts. Yandy Díaz singled to open the bottom of the first, but Gasser and the Brewers defense prevented that hit from turning into a run. Tampa Bay’s only other early baserunner against him was erased by a double play in the sixth.
Peralta kept the game close early, but Milwaukee scored twice in the second on RBI singles by Christian Yelich and William Contreras. The game was still within reach before the fifth. The box score and Gameday record are useful if a reader wants the official pitching lines; the recap is better for understanding how the pivotal inning developed.
The turning point came with two outs in the top of the fifth. Christian Yelich was initially called out at second base on a fielder’s choice, which appeared to end the inning. Milwaukee challenged the call, and the ruling was changed to safe. That kept the inning alive and left the bases loaded. The official MLB recap identifies the review as the moment the inning changed direction.
Peralta left after the rally began, and Tampa Bay brought in Cam Booser. Brice Turang hit a two-run single, Garrett Mitchell followed with an RBI single, Cooper Pratt doubled in two runs and Sal Frelick added an RBI double. The Brewers kept producing with two outs and scored eight runs in the inning. MLB described it as a World Series record for runs scored with two outs in one inning; it also reported that seven consecutive Milwaukee batters recorded hits, a first in a postseason game. Those are the details that explain why the score moved so quickly from a competitive game to a wide margin.
Milwaukee’s attack was spread through the lineup rather than resting on one home run. Jackson Chourio collected four hits, and MLB reported that every Brewers starter reached base. That combination of repeated contact and the extended inning mattered more to the final score than a single long ball: Milwaukee scored ten times without hitting a home run.
The Rays did not score against Gasser. Their only run came in the bottom of the ninth, when Yandy Díaz drove in a run with a double to center field against reliever Brandon Woodruff. That late hit prevented a shutout, but Milwaukee still finished with a nine-run margin. Tampa Bay had managed only one hit against Gasser through his six innings, so the late scoring did not erase how thoroughly the starter had controlled the first part of the game.
MLB’s U.S. coverage schedule listed FOX for the main English-language telecast, FOX Deportes for Spanish-language television, and FOX One for streaming. Choose based on what matters to you: FOX was the straightforward television option, FOX Deportes offered Spanish commentary, and FOX One was the streaming route. MLB also said U.S. MLB.TV access to FOX telecasts required authentication through a participating pay-TV provider, so a subscription alone was not necessarily sufficient.
For viewers outside the United States, do not assume that the U.S. channel list applies. MLB’s Game 3 information said international live coverage was available subject to regional rights and noted Canada as an exception. It named Sportsnet as the exclusive English-language postseason broadcaster in Canada, TVA Sports for the World Series in French, and RDS for the National League postseason in French. Because Game 3 is complete, availability of a replay or on-demand stream depends on the provider and territory; the schedule confirms the original broadcast, not a continuing replay window.
If the priority is a verified score, inning-by-inning record or player line, use MLB Gameday for Game 849804. If the question is what turned the game, the MLB recap explains the challenge and two-out rally, while the key-takeaways article focuses on the implications of Milwaukee’s 3-0 lead and Gasser’s outing. These source types serve different needs: the official box score is concise and numerical; the recap gives a chronological account; and the broadcast schedule answers where the game originally aired.
At the time of this update, MLB’s schedule listed Game 4 for Tuesday, October 27, at 8:00 p.m. in St. Petersburg, EDT (UTC-04:00), or Wednesday, October 28, at 00:00 UTC. FOX, FOX Deportes and FOX One were listed for that game. The schedule was current when checked and could be consulted for any later changes. For Game 3 itself, the verified result is settled: Milwaukee won 10-1, its fifth-inning surge set the record-setting frame, and the Brewers took a 3-0 World Series lead.
