New York City FC’s meeting with CF Montréal on Saturday, October 31, 2026, has a confirmed home venue and kickoff: Citi Field in Queens, New York, at 2:00 p.m. New York time, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−04:00). That is 18:00 UTC. The clarification matters because NYCFC uses more than one home stadium and some older fixture lists do not reflect the club’s later venue update.
The 2026 MLS regular-season match is also listed as a Fan Appreciation event. Whether you are buying a ticket, finding the Apple TV broadcast, or checking the starting lineups, the official club schedule provides a reliable starting point.
NYCFC’s official schedule update explicitly names October 31, CF Montréal, Citi Field and the 2:00 p.m. Eastern kickoff. The club’s schedule and Montréal’s fixture calendar also identify Citi Field as the venue. The match has an MLS fixture page for subsequent updates.
New York does not switch from daylight saving time to standard time until Sunday, November 1, 2026. Consequently, the October 31 kickoff must be converted using EDT (UTC−04:00), not EST (UTC−05:00). A fixture feed showing 18:00 UTC and a club announcement showing 2:00 p.m. EDT refer to the same kickoff. They are not competing match times.
New York City FC announced a venue update for its final regular-season home games, confirming that both the October 28 meeting with Atlanta United and the October 31 match against Montréal would take place at Citi Field. This is important for supporters accustomed to looking for NYCFC fixtures at Yankee Stadium or elsewhere. For this particular game, Citi Field is the confirmed destination.
Use the club’s updated fixture announcement rather than an old calendar entry when planning a trip. Ticket holders should also compare the match details in their ticket account with the official club listing before setting out. Anyone traveling to the stadium should check the event-specific gate and access guidance because operational arrangements can change.
The official NYCFC schedule lists Apple TV for the October 31 game. In 2026, MLS matches are included in an Apple TV subscription, rather than requiring a separate standalone MLS Season Pass purchase. Both NYCFC’s viewing guide and the MLS viewing information explain the 2026 arrangement and indicate that league matches are available without local blackouts through Apple TV.
The simplest approach is to open the Apple TV app or website, locate the MLS match listing, and verify that it says New York City FC vs. CF Montréal on October 31 before starting a stream. Subscription eligibility, pricing and availability should be checked directly with the provider for the viewer’s location. A schedule listing confirms the designated service, not whether an individual account is subscribed.
For fans who prefer audio, NYCFC also points listeners to English- and Spanish-language coverage through its official radio information. The club and MLS match pages remain useful options for checking lineups, the score and match events when a video stream is not practical.
As of October 29, the starting elevens for October 31 have not been established by an official pre-match team sheet in the sources checked for this article. Projected formations and social-media injury reports should not be presented as confirmed selections. NYCFC also has a midweek fixture on October 28, while Montréal’s schedule shows an October 28 trip to Charlotte, so selections and player availability may need reassessment before Saturday.
Look for manager and club updates first, then check the official MLS match center near kickoff for the actual starting XIs and substitutes. If a player appears in a predicted lineup, that alone does not establish that the player is available or starting. An official team sheet is the clearer evidence.
This late-season regular-season meeting offers two useful questions to follow without making a score prediction. First, how effectively does NYCFC establish possession and create chances at home? Second, how does Montréal respond when it wins the ball, particularly during transitions and set pieces? The answers depend on the teams actually selected rather than a formation assumed several days ahead.
Watch the opening stages for where each side wins possession, whether the visitors can get beyond the first line of pressure, and how frequently attacks lead to shots rather than speculative crosses. Substitutions may also matter after the clubs’ midweek commitments. These are observations to assess during the match, not claims that either team will necessarily adopt a specific strategy.
The October 31 date is part of the league’s concluding stretch, but it should not be confused with the end of every team’s season. The official club schedules also show additional November 7 fixtures. Check the latest league standings for the exact points and postseason implications rather than relying on an older table or an assumed playoff scenario.
NYCFC’s Citi Field transportation guide recommends public transit. Subway riders can use the 7 train to Mets–Willets Point, while Long Island Rail Road passengers can use Mets–Willets Point station on the Port Washington Branch. The stadium address is 41 Seaver Way in Queens. Confirm the transit service status on matchday, especially if traveling from outside New York City.
The club’s Citi Field A–Z guide says gates normally open about 90 minutes before kickoff, subject to change. It also covers accessibility, prohibited items and entry procedures. Check those details before leaving home rather than assuming that the procedures are identical to a baseball game or another NYCFC stadium.
NYCFC identifies October 31 as Fan Appreciation Night, and its official theme-night page lists sky-blue keychains for the first 10,000 fans. The club has also described the fixture as part of its Día de los Muertos and Fan Appreciation programming. Promotional supplies and entry arrangements can be limited, so the safest course is to verify the latest event information and any eligibility conditions before arriving.
Confirm three essentials together: Saturday, October 31; Citi Field; and 2:00 p.m. EDT (UTC−04:00), equal to 18:00 UTC. Then use the official MLS or club match page for confirmed lineups and follow the Apple TV listing for viewing access. If your calendar displays a different time, check whether it is showing UTC or another time zone before concluding that kickoff has changed.
For in-person attendance, match the date and stadium on your ticket, consult the stadium travel and entry guides, and check for any last-minute operational notice. These steps answer the most important questions about New York City FC vs. CF Montréal without relying on an unverified team selection or an outdated venue listing.
