LOSC vs. RC Lens: October 30 Kickoff Time, TV Channel and Derby Guide

LOSC Lille host RC Lens on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 9:05 p.m. Central European Time (CET, UTC+01:00) at Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, France. The same kickoff is 20:05 UTC on October 30. This Derby du Nord is part of Matchday 9 of the 2026–27 Ligue 1 McDonald’s season, and the league lists Ligue 1+ 2 as the French broadcast channel.

Both clubs and Ligue 1 have published the fixture details. Here is what supporters should check before kickoff, whether they plan to watch on a screen, follow live updates, or attend in person.

When and where is LOSC vs. RC Lens?

The official Ligue 1 Matchday 9 schedule, the LOSC fixture announcement, and RC Lens’s match page agree on the Friday night kickoff and the host stadium.

Why is kickoff 9:05 p.m. in France but 20:05 UTC?

France returned to standard time on October 25, 2026, five days before this match. Villeneuve-d’Ascq is therefore on CET (UTC+01:00), not summer time (CEST, UTC+02:00). Adding one hour to 20:05 UTC gives the advertised 9:05 p.m. stadium time. Anyone following from outside France should convert 20:05 UTC on October 30 to their own time zone, accounting for local daylight saving rules and any change of calendar date.

How can you watch Lille vs. Lens live?

In France, the league specifically lists Ligue 1+ 2 for this match. Its official Lille–Lens viewing guide identifies the channel and the 9:05 p.m. CET start. Supporters should check their Ligue 1+ subscription, available device apps, and provider channel guide before the game. Access may require a paid subscription or an eligible bundle.

For viewers outside France, the French channel announcement does not establish who holds the rights in another country. Check the league’s international broadcaster directory and your locally licensed TV or streaming service. Coverage, channel placement, language options, and streaming availability vary by territory; do not assume that a French subscription will work abroad.

If live video is unavailable, the official RC Lens fixture center provides a route to match updates, while the league and club websites are the appropriate places to check for confirmed goals, bookings, substitutions, and the final result after play begins. Avoid treating an unofficial stream or a social-media clip as confirmation of live broadcast rights.

Why does this Derby du Nord matter?

LOSC and RC Lens are neighboring northern French rivals, making the Derby du Nord an important local occasion as well as a league fixture. The teams entered this meeting close in the table. In its October 25 preview, Ligue 1 listed Lille third and Lens seventh, separated by two points. The same preview described Lille as unbeaten in their first four league home games, with two wins and two draws, while Lens had won three consecutive league matches.

There is also recent derby history behind the matchup. According to Ligue 1’s pregame analysis, each club won its home meeting 3–0 in the previous season. The league noted that Lens’s last victory away at Lille was in April 2022. Those records provide context, not a prediction: form and historic results cannot determine Friday’s outcome.

Are team lineups and player availability confirmed?

Do not confuse a preview or projected eleven with the official starting lineup. Ligue 1’s October 25 guide listed Lille’s Nianzou as suspended and named other expected absentees across both squads. RC Lens also discussed several injuries in its October 28 pre-match press conference. Availability can change, so check the teams' official matchday announcements for the actual starters and substitutes.

For the latest confirmed team news, follow the clubs rather than circulating lineup graphics that do not cite a team announcement. As of this pre-kickoff guide, no score or final match result should be reported.

What should fans know before traveling to the stadium?

The match is being played at Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, not at RC Lens’s home venue in Lens. Anyone attending should check a valid ticket, the gate shown on the ticket, transportation plans, and any late stadium notices before setting out.

There are also specific restrictions affecting this derby. On October 28, RC Lens announced that it would not open its away-supporter allocation for the Lille trip. The clubs also publicized a Nord prefectural order covering supporter access and movement in a defined area around the stadium. The RC Lens notice directs fans to the official restrictions. They apply from 6:30 p.m. CET (17:30 UTC) on October 30 through 1:00 a.m. CET (00:00 UTC) on October 31, 2026. Supporters should consult the complete order and club instructions rather than assume that any ticket or usual travel arrangement overrides those restrictions.

LOSC has published official ticket information, including priority and package conditions. Check ticket validity and entry requirements directly with the club; unofficial resale listings are not a substitute for confirmation.

What should you check just before kickoff?

• Start time: Friday, October 30, 2026, at 9:05 p.m. CET (UTC+01:00) in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, or 20:05 UTC.
• Broadcast: Ligue 1+ 2 in France; verify the authorized broadcaster for any other territory.
• Matchday details: Check official club and league channels for confirmed lineups, last-minute schedule changes, and live match events.
• Stadium entry: If attending, review tickets and the published supporter restrictions before traveling.

These are the confirmed pre-match arrangements for the Matchday 9 derby. For any change announced closer to kickoff, the latest official Ligue 1 or club notice should take precedence.
