Colorado Rapids vs. Chicago Fire FC: Oct. 31 Kickoff, TV and Match Preview

Colorado Rapids host Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time (MDT, UTC−06:00), which is 1:30 a.m. UTC on Sunday, November 1. The MLS regular-season fixture is Colorado’s last scheduled home league game of 2026, with a Halloween Fan Appreciation Night planned around the match.

When and where is Colorado Rapids vs. Chicago Fire FC?

The Rapids’ official kickoff announcement and single-game ticket listing both confirm the October 31 date and 7:30 p.m. start in Colorado. The date changes to November 1 only when converted to UTC. Colorado is still observing daylight saving time on the evening of October 31, so using standard Mountain Time (UTC−07:00) would give the wrong conversion.

How can fans watch the game live?

Apple TV is the confirmed streaming option. Beginning with the 2026 season, Major League Soccer games are included with an Apple TV subscription at no extra MLS-specific charge. The standalone MLS Season Pass sold in earlier seasons is no longer required. MLS says its Apple TV coverage includes regular-season games without local blackouts.

1. Open the Apple TV app on a supported phone, tablet, smart TV or streaming device, or visit Apple TV on the web.
2. Sign in with an account that has an active Apple TV subscription.
3. Find the MLS section and select Colorado Rapids vs. Chicago Fire FC close to kickoff.

The official MLS viewing guide explains the 2026 coverage, and Apple’s MLS guide lists supported ways to watch. Subscription pricing and device availability can depend on the viewer’s country or region. A separate national TV broadcast or match-specific commentary team should not be assumed without an official announcement.

What should fans know before buying tickets?

Colorado has listed this fixture on its official ticket page, which directs buyers to the authorized ticketing service. Check availability and total checkout cost before purchasing; a listing does not guarantee that any particular section or price remains available. The official Ticketmaster event lists a 6:30 p.m. MDT (UTC−06:00) door time on October 31, an hour before the scheduled kickoff.

The club is also advertising Halloween activities and its Fan Appreciation Night for the season’s final home regular-season game. Its announced plans include a pregame Halloween Village in the VIP East lot and postgame appreciation activities. Fans who want to participate should arrive early and consult the club’s event announcement for the latest instructions.

Costumes are encouraged, but masks, fake weapons and full-face paint are prohibited within the stadium footprint, according to the club’s Halloween guidance. The venue’s A–Z stadium guide also restricts soft-sided bags to a maximum of 14 by 14 by 6 inches and provides accessibility information. Review these rules before leaving home rather than relying on general stadium advice.

What is at stake for Colorado and Chicago?

For Colorado, the meeting comes during a late-season Western Conference playoff push. The Rapids beat Vancouver Whitecaps FC 1–0 on October 24, with Morgan Whittaker scoring the winner. Colorado’s club report said that result extended its home unbeaten run to ten games. Those are useful indicators of its recent home form, but they do not predict the outcome against Chicago.

Chicago enters from a different conference and has already secured a place in the 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, according to its official October announcements. The Fire also recorded a 3–2 road victory over Atlanta United on October 24. Both teams may have different priorities involving league points, playoff position and squad management, so avoid treating any projected standings scenario as guaranteed.

Check the official MLS standings shortly before kickoff. The table can change with midweek and weekend results, including matches played after a preview was written.

Have the starting lineups and injury reports been confirmed?

No Colorado–Chicago starting XI is established by the official material verified for this preview. Names appearing in a previous match lineup, or in a predicted XI circulating online, are not confirmation that the same players will start on October 31. Injuries, suspensions and tactical decisions can alter selection close to game time.

For reliable team news, consult the official MLS match page, the Rapids’ news updates and Chicago Fire’s club announcements on matchday. Look for posted starting lineups, substitutes and any last-minute changes rather than assuming availability from an older roster report.

What are the key things to watch on the field?

• Colorado’s home momentum: Can the Rapids turn their recent defensive discipline and home results into another productive performance?
• Chicago’s response away from home: Can the Fire sustain the attacking effectiveness that helped produce their recent win in Atlanta?
• Late-game substitutions: In a match near the end of the regular season, the benches and changes in tempo may matter as much as the opening lineup.

These are viewing questions, not claims about an announced tactical plan. The starting lineups will provide a better basis for assessing matchups. For the confirmed kickoff, stream access, tickets and any late changes, use the official sources above on October 31.
