If the game is missing from the cloud list, the save may never have uploaded, may belong to another account or game edition, or may have been removed from cloud storage. Turning on sync now cannot recreate a save that was never uploaded. A USB backup can include PS5 saved data, but Sony's restore process restores the console backup as a whole. It is not a way to copy one PS5 save file back from a USB drive. Use this only if the backup was made before the deletion and you are ready to replace current console data.

Check once more that you are using the right PlayStation profile and game edition, and that the game itself—not only the save—was deleted. If another console still has the progress, use that surviving copy. Otherwise, Sony's published PS5 recovery options do not offer a supported way to undelete a save that existed only in console storage and was deleted.
PlayStation Support may help diagnose account, console, or sync problems, but it cannot be assumed to recover a save that was never backed up. Avoid third-party tools that promise to extract deleted PS5 saves or ask for your PlayStation password or verification code. Do not initialize the console in the hope of bringing a deleted save back; back up any remaining data before troubleshooting storage or system software.
