Health percentage alone is not a target-selection rule. A low-health target can still bait you into crowd control, while a higher-health threat may be vulnerable after using a key defensive spell.
Entering second is often safer than starting the fight yourself. Watch for the enemy frontline to commit, a key control spell to miss, a carry to step too far forward, or your own initiator to force enemies to turn away from you. These moments reduce the number of abilities that can immediately stop your burst.
Waiting does not mean standing idle while your team loses the fight. If the enemy is protecting a carry, use your position to make them respect the flank. If the fight has moved away from your angle, reposition rather than forcing a bad entry. A short ping can show your team that you are ready to follow; do not rely on teammates to infer your route.
There is no universal assassin combo that works in every teamfight. Set a simple goal for your first cast: reach the target, apply your champion’s damage or control, and preserve enough mobility to respond to the enemy. Practice the movement and ability order for your chosen champion in a low-pressure mode, but rehearse the decision as well as the buttons: identify the target, choose the entry, and name the exit before you go in.
