If your PS4 or PS5 game is missing from Discord, check three things first: your PlayStation Network account is connected, Display PlayStation Network as your status is enabled in Discord, and PSN privacy allows “Anyone” to see your online status and what you’re playing. Discord also requires activity sharing to be enabled, and activity from a PC app can take priority over your PlayStation status.
Work through the checks below in order. The menus differ slightly between PS4 and PS5, but PlayStation activity sharing is supported on both consoles. Discord is not a standalone PlayStation app; linking the accounts is what shares your game activity.
The most common causes are a missing or stale account connection, the wrong status toggle, PSN privacy restrictions, Discord activity sharing being off, or another activity taking priority on your computer. If you can see your PlayStation connection on your Discord profile but not the game you’re playing, focus on the status and privacy settings first.

PlayStation privacy settings can prevent Discord from receiving your activity. Set the relevant visibility to Anyone if you want your game status to appear. This widens who can see your online status and what you’re playing on PlayStation, so keep a more restrictive setting if that better fits your privacy preferences.

In Discord’s User Settings, open Activity Sharing (the location or wording can vary slightly by client version) and make sure Share my activity is on. Then return to Connections and make sure activity sharing for the PlayStation connection is enabled. Also check Discord on your computer. Discord says local activity can take priority over PlayStation presence, and Rich Presence from a PC game or some connected activities can replace the basic PlayStation status. Close a PC game or music activity that is appearing in Discord, then check your profile again. If activity appears on your profile but not in one server’s member list, review that server’s activity privacy setting; visibility can differ by server.
Give the connection a fresh gameplay session after reconnecting. PlayStation notes that a changed online ID usually updates with subsequent gameplay activity, though reconnecting may be needed in some cases. Avoid resetting voice settings or rebuilding the console database for this problem: those steps do not enable the account’s activity-sharing permissions.
