Brawl Stars upgrade costs for a regular Brawler total 3,740 Power Points and 7,765 Coins from Power 1 to Power 11. Every upgrade step requires both currencies, and the same base price schedule applies across Brawlers. The table below shows each step and the running total, so you can budget for the next milestone without confusing level upgrades with separate Gadgets, Star Powers, Gears, Hypercharges, or Buffies.

These figures describe the standard Brawler progression checked on October 16, 2026. Limited-time modes can use separate progression rules, but those event tracks do not change the base cost table for upgrading a regular Brawler.

Cost for every Brawl Stars Power level

“Step cost” is what you pay for that single upgrade. “Running total” adds every step from Power 1, which makes it easier to see the cost of stopping at a target level.

For a full Power 1–11 upgrade, plan for 3,740 Power Points and 7,765 Coins. The final two steps alone cost 3,330 Coins, so the price rises quickly near the cap. This is the base level-up total, not the price of every upgrade item a Brawler can equip.

How Coins and Power Points work

Coins and Power Points are both shared account resources. Power Points are not locked to one Brawler: Supercell says they can be combined with Coins to upgrade any Brawler you have unlocked. Coins are also shared, and they pay for the level-up after you meet the Power Point requirement. You need enough of both currencies at the same time; a surplus of one does not cover a shortage of the other.

Coins also pay for several Brawler-specific items. That is why the 7,765-Coin figure should be treated as the price of reaching Power 11 only. Gadgets, Star Powers, Gears, Hypercharges, and Buffies have separate costs. The official currency guide describes which resources can be used for those purchases.

What Power levels unlock

Power levels increase a Brawler’s core battle stats, while several milestone levels open access to additional equipment. Those items are separate from the Power-level cost table.

These thresholds and separate item prices are listed in Supercell’s guides for Gadgets, Star Powers, Gears, and Hypercharges. For example, a Brawler with one Gadget, one Star Power, and a newly purchasable Hypercharge needs at least 15,765 Coins to buy those items and reach Power 11, before any Gear purchases. The actual total depends on which optional items you choose and what that Brawler has available.

If your goal is Ranked, Power 9 is a useful threshold to know: Supercell’s Ranked guide says a Brawler must be Power 9 or higher to enter a Ranked battle.

Where to get upgrade resources

Coins: Trophy Road, Brawl Pass rewards, quests and challenges, Starr Drops, Daily Freebies, and modes with the Raining Coins modifier.

Reward availability can vary with the season and active events. Check the reward track and the Shop in your own game rather than assuming every source offers a fixed amount. The Supercell currency page lists current resource sources and uses.

How to spend upgrade currency efficiently

Many small fighters share scattered coins on the left, while a focused team of three stands with concentrated upgrade resources on the right — A focused roster makes it easier to reach a useful unlock milestone before spreading resources further.

Choose the next milestone before upgrading. Decide whether you need a Gadget at Power 7, Star Power access at Power 9, another Gear slot at Power 10, or Power 11 for an available Hypercharge.
Prioritize Brawlers you actually use. A smaller group of reliable picks is easier to equip than a wide roster that is short on both currencies.
Budget for optional items. If you want a Star Power or Hypercharge, leave Coins for its separate price instead of treating 7,765 as the whole build.
